West Orange
With a population of just under fifty thousand
residents, this beautiful community is the perfect
crossroads between the convenience of the urban
lifestyle and the familiarity of the small town
environment. Just a seventeen mile commute from the
hustle and bustle of New York City, the township
includes some of the best arts, recreational, and
business opportunities in the county.
The town is host to five of the biggest non-profit
art programs in the state including the New Jersey
Arts Incubator, the West Orange Arts Council, the
Oscar Schindler Performing Arts Center, the Battery
Factory Theatre, and JCC MetroWest. In addition to
art, though, recreational opportunities abound when
you look at West Orange NJ real estate. Take some
time out to visit the Turtle Back Zoo. Stop by the
Edison National Historic Site. Don’t forget to spend
a sunny afternoon in one of the area’s many parks.
Another great feature of this community is the Codey
Arena, home to the Jersey Rockhoppers hockey team,
winner of the 2009 EPHL championship. With an
exciting record and some great players, a
Rockhoppers game makes for an exciting night out.
