Montclair
Located in Essex County, Montclair is home to nearly
forty thousand people. Directly connected to New
York City thanks to the train services, it has a
booming business sector that provides jobs for many
in the community. From great shopping opportunities
to unique eateries, there is much to see and do
throughout the town.
Montclair is also an arts hotspot. With two cinemas,
several live theatres, and the impressive Montclair
Art Museum as well as a number of downtown
galleries, it has more venues than most other areas
in New Jersey.
Known for historic architecture and beautiful homes,
Montclair NJ real estate has much to offer singles,
older couples, and families alike. With 18 public
tennis courts, four skating rinks, three pools, and
a long list of park spaces, this is the ideal
community for many.
Glen Ridge
Located in beautiful Essex County, almost eight
thousand people call the borough of Glen Ridge home.
With a sense of history around every bend, it is
quite possibly one of the most beautiful areas in
the state.
Perhaps the best known fact about Glen Ridge is that
it is one of the only municipalities left in the
United States that uses gas lights for its street
lights. With 666 of these beautiful treasures lining
the streets, it’s hard to escape the uniqueness of
this area.
While there are hundreds of modern homes in the
world of Glen Ridge NJ real estate, the architecture
here is quite notable. With names like Frank Lloyd
Wright, Standford White, and John Russell Pope
adorning the history of the homes here, it’s hard to
go wrong when you choose this area for your home
purchase.
History, though, is not all Glen Ridge has to offer.
Here you’ll also find an active community theatre
program, summer concerts, and many athletic and park
facilities available to all residents.
Verona
Named the best place to live in Essex County by New
Jersey Monthly, this township has a population of
almost fourteen thousand residents. Encompassing a
sense of history with an excellent eye toward the
future, Verona NJ real estate is coveted by many.
Home to a strong commercial community as well as a
large residential population, the township manages
to balance the needs of industry with those of
residents quite well. Not only is Verona the world
headquarters of the largest and oldest global flag
factory, but it also has two local papers and a
public access television station.
Easily one of the most notable parts of the township
is Verona Park. Encompassing fifty four acres, here
you’ll find twin lakes, a beautiful bridge, and a
recently modernized boathouse. Special events are
held in the park throughout the year, and sunrise
each morning finds joggers and walkers alike
enjoying the course that surrounds both of the
lakes.
With an extensive amount of single family housing
available, this is one community you must consider.
West Orange
With a population of just under fifty thousand
residents, this beautiful community is the perfect
crossroads between the convenience of the urban
lifestyle and the familiarity of the small town
environment. Just a seventeen mile commute from the
hustle and bustle of New York City, the township
includes some of the best arts, recreational, and
business opportunities in the county.
The town is host to five of the biggest non-profit
art programs in the state including the New Jersey
Arts Incubator, the West Orange Arts Council, the
Oscar Schindler Performing Arts Center, the Battery
Factory Theatre, and JCC MetroWest. In addition to
art, though, recreational opportunities abound when
you look at West Orange NJ real estate. Take some
time out to visit the Turtle Back Zoo. Stop by the
Edison National Historic Site. Don’t forget to spend
a sunny afternoon in one of the area’s many parks.
Another great feature of this community is the Codey
Arena, home to the Jersey Rockhoppers hockey team,
winner of the 2009 EPHL championship. With an
exciting record and some great players, a
Rockhoppers game makes for an exciting night out.
